"By putting my weapon down, I chose to reassert myself as a human being." Camilo Mejía, Iraqi War Veteran.
Mr. Mejia, the first Iraq war veteran to file for discharge from the army as a conscientious objector, and who spent a year in the stockade for his courageous stance, is coming to the Bay Area. He will be making appearances in San Jose, Palo Alto, Oakland, and Santa Cruz at events co-sponsored by Veterans for Peace, KPFA & many other groups:
