Board members Carolyn Scarr and Rev. Lee Williamson (past president), guiding luminaries of EPI/CALC, are among the "usual suspects" (see Casablanca) one meets, where I and my folks did, at gatherings of witnessing in opposition to war and social injustice. EPI/CALC embody those pursuits in deeply meaningful ways in its outreach to such venues as Haiti and Iraq. It is small but mighty.
