Isadora Forever

THIS BEAUTIFULLY CLASSIC “Forever” stamp from the U.S. Postal Service is one of a series designed Ethel Kessler, using an illustration by James McMullan. Intended “to look like posters advertising a performance, the stamp art captures the luminosity and mystery of a live dance performance.”

How appropriate for Isadora, whose art is eternal.

The stamp will always be equal in value to whatever is the current rate for a first-class letter. And Isadora was, indeed, first class, though her art was priceless.
