About
the 360s + 1
Driven
by the desire to create harmony from
isolation and chaos, three “sixty -
something” experienced musicians (John,
Dwight, and Christopher)
began meeting socially-distanced in a
local park to keep the live music
flowing during COVID-19. They focused
on “the music we grew up with”
creating an unplugged repertoire of
strong vocal harmonies and instruments
and a following of friends, fellow
musicians and passers-by who delighted
in something good coming as the fires
and virus mania raged on.
Now expanded to a fourth
partner (Duane), their music
continues to spread harmony and
happiness throughout a range of safe
outdoor gatherings in many locations
around the East Bay and beyond.
Bios
John
Shinn is a spiritual vocalist
who provides a range from soft to more
energetic spiritual music including original
tunes and spiritualized rewrites and ‘covers’
of appropriate selections from modern and
classic rock, pop and folk genres. His
strummed and finger-picked 6- and 12-string
guitar stylings, singing bowls and chimes and
keyboard interpretations are featured in his
accompaniment. He has been
providing his music to churches, concert
venues, and spiritual centers throughout
northern California as a solo performer and
organizer and member of numerous harmonic
vocal groups for over 30 years.

Christopher Johnson
plays jazz piano, composes music, writes
songs, plays guitar and sings. He’s
an accomplished concert piano technician
much in demand in the SF Bay Area.
Christopher is Chair of Contra Costa
Performing Arts Piano Composers Group, and
CCPAS Jazz Piano Artists, and pianist for
the Vivian Perry Quartet and Swingin’
Safari quartet.
Dwight Stone
has been making music since the age of 6
when he quit piano lessons and
visualized himself as a composer. For
his 7th birthday, he got his first
guitar, a Martin O17 which he still
owns, nicks and all.
Dwight has won numerous awards (Music
Teachers' Association of
California; LA Jewish Music Commission;
US Open Music Competition) for his
choral and piano compositions. He now
serves as Minister of Music and
Worship at
Trinity Lutheran Church,
Pleasanton. Website:

foundation to their acoustic
style.

Praise for the 360s
"I made a point to
listen more acutely to the 360s
performance today. I have
absolutely no constructive
criticism! I can’t even dig deep
to find anything wrong, The band
is great. You guys do a lot of
harmonies and they are just
beautiful. I also noticed the
perfection of the 360s
renditions of the songs you
played. Every note, the
harmonies, and tempos were right
on. A boyfriend I had at one
time, who was an accomplished
musician, was rehearsing for a
performance, and told me how
important it was that every
note, etc. needed to be exactly
as he had performed it in his
recordings, because that is what
the audience wants and is
expecting to hear. If
something is different, it
throws the audience off
and can be disappointing to
them. So this is what the 360s
have accomplished, your
performance of the songs is spot
on. I think it’s fine if
bands sometimes spin off with
their own renditions of known
songs, however, in the case of
the 360s I think what you’re
doing is better, because these
are songs that we have loved
since we were young and that
take us back into that space and
time, so if you change the
style, something would be
mismatched!
So enough of my rambling here,
just thank you for offering all
your gifts to the world. You do
a lot to lift us up, which we
all need so much more now than
ever.
🙏🌞❤️"
